Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Stench of Treachery | Is the traitor Birna, Lif, or Galinn?

The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Stench of Treachery mission tasks players with finding who betrayed her. Soma asks Eivor to find out who the traitor is: Birna, Lif, or Galinn. She has been betrayed and it could only be someone in her inner circle, all of whom have a motive to stab her in the back. So who is the traitor in Grantebridgescire? Is it Birna, Lif, Galinn, or someone else?

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Stench of Treachery | Is the traitor Birna, Lif, or Galinn?

Finding the traitor is going to be more obvious as the player finds more clues. The biggest one is located around the yellow ship, which is hidden in the swamps near Soma’s base of operations in Grantebridgescire. Everyone also has a motive. Lif (the bald guy) knows about the paint and has doubted Soma’s leadership. Birna (the woman of the three) is a disgraced lover with her bags packed like she’s ready to leave in an instant. And Galinn (the guy with the mustache) seems very loyal but had a strange vision about Soma. Players can talk to them in the base. They are scattered around and have little turquoise diamonds above them. They’re not on the compass, however.

While the motives mean it could be anyone, the actual traitor is Galinn. Lif knows about the paint but knows how expensive it is to waste. Birna says she isn’t bitter about Soma and has an alibi. Galinn may seem to like Soma but he has no alibi and he was found right near the boat with yellow paint, which is probably the most damning part about it.

Accusing Galinn to Soma will give her enough reason to stab him right in front of everyone. There won’t be an abject confirmation of his disloyalty in the game, but the game does reward Eivor for picking the right one. By knowing the traitor was Galinn, Birna will offer to join Eivor’s crew at the settlement.

From there, players can put her in their raiding crew by going to the barracks at the base. This is the same way players can put in player-generated Jomsvikings in their crew and how they can create their own.
