Serious Sam 4 release date pushed back to September 2020

There’s some bad news for fans of crazy first-person shooters: the Serious Sam 4 release date has been delayed by a month. This upcoming shooter from Croteam and Devolver Digital will now launch in September 2020 instead of its original August release date.

“It’s been a wild ride for us, and it’s about to be even wilder when Serious Sam 4 obliterates normality this August, and by August we actually mean September 24, 2020,” stated a tongue-in-cheek Steam Community news post. The announcement was accompanied by a tweet with one of the game’s iconic characters suicidally charging the new Serious Sam 4 release date.

Previously, Croteam and Devolver Digital had announced that Serious Sam 4 would be launching sometime in August 2020. It seems that something has changed since then, causing the developers to delay the launch by about a month. No reason has been specified for the delay.

For now, you can get ready for some serious running and gunning by adding Serious Sam 4 to your wishlist on Steam. You’ll be able to play it when it launches on September 24, 2020.
