The more the merrier, we always say, which is nice because it appears as though the Mario Kart Tour character roster will be expanding. It looks as though Mario Kart Tour Birdo might well be included in one of the next batches of characters to be added into the game. Is there, however, a Birdo release date? Read on through this guide to discover whether or not Birdo is a playable character in Mario Kart Tour.
Mario Kart Tour Birdo | Is Birdo coming to the game?
It would appear as though everyone’s favorite pink, egg-spewing dinosaur might be on the way to Mario Kart Tour. We know this thanks to a leak pointed out by Twitter account, Mario Kart Tour News. Dataminers have discovered what would appear to be a Birdo character emblem icon within the game files. That pink bow couldn’t be anything else, surely?
Birdo emblem is found in code from #MarioKartTour! 🚦
Note: This means that there is a chance that Birdo can be played in #MarioKartTour!

The inclusion of a Birdo emblem within the game’s files certainly point to the addition of Birdo as a playable character in Mario Kart Tour. Unfortunately, that’s all we’ve got to work on. There is no saying when Birdo will become unlockable and playable in Mario Kart Tour. Nintendo recently added in Peach (Kimono) and Mario (Kimono) alongside Rosalina, Baby Rosalina, and the Koopa Kids (including Bowser Jr. of course). We’d wager that Birdo is likely to be a part of the next scheduled Tour.
Despite the signs pointing to a playable Birdo in Mario Kart Tour, we’d like to err on the side of caution here. As with any leak or datamine, it could be possible that this will end up unused. While it appears likely that there will be a Mario Kart Tour Birdo release, it could also never happen. Only time will tell here, folks. We’ll always welcome new playable characters in any game, however, so we do hope that Birdo is on the way soon.
