Total War: Rome 2 System Requirements Aren’t As Demanding As You Think

Total War: Rome 2 is one of the biggest PC exclusives of 2013. Surely you want to run it without choppy framerates, right? Well, you're in-luck no matter how hardcore your gaming rig is. It appears The Creative Assembly has optimized it enough to run on older hardware—assuming you have a whopping 35GB of hard drive space available. Don't assume that means the game appears aged. On high settings it's a stunning game that will draw every bit of horsepower from your CPU, as seen in the recommended specs.

If you simply want to run the game on a sub-HD resolution on low/medium settings, you need the following:

OS: XP/ Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8

Processor:2 GHz Intel Dual Core processor / 2.6 GHz Intel Single Core processor

Memory: 2GB RAM

Graphics:512 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible card (shader model 3, vertex texture fetch support).

DirectX®:9.0c

Hard Drive: 35 GB HD space

Screen Resolution: 1024×768

If you'd prefer to experience historical battles as they are meant to be reimagined, below are the recommended specs:

OS: Windows 7 / Windows 8

Processor:2nd Generation Intel Core i5 processor (or greater)

Memory: 4GB RAM

Graphics:1024 MB DirectX 11 compatible graphics card.

DirectX®:11

Hard Drive:35 GB HD space

Screen Resolution: 1920×1080

So, where do you fall?
