It looks like April will be a bumper month for PS Plus members, with today’s announcement from Sony revealing which games will be made free for these subscribers. The PS Plus April 2019 games will not include any titles on the PS3 or PS Vita, as Sony indicated last month that only PS4 titles would continue to join the growing roster of free games. Of course, you still have a chance to download last month’s free games before the end of March, which included Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered in addition to the acclaimed indie The Witness.
Moving on to the PS Plus April 2019 games, the best offer from Sony is the PS4 title The Surge. The game’s developers, Deck13 Interactive, say that this sci-fi action RPG is inspired by the Souls series and Rise of the Robots. It launched during May 2017.
Once the PS Plus April 2019 games become available to download, install, and play, subscribers will also gain access to Conan Exiles. Developed by Funcom, this survival game allows players to find their inner warrior and fight in PvE and PvP encounters. With the game soon to be featured as a PS Plus title, you can expect the game’s multiplayer servers to get a boost, with more players to matchmake with and fight against.
If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you have until the end of next month to download the PS Plus April 2019 games; after the end of the month, they will no longer be available for free. Likewise, if you haven’t had a chance to download the PS Plus March free games, make sure you’ve grabbed them before the end of this month. In comparison, Xbox Games with Gold has a lackluster selection of free games lined up for April, with the only highlight being the 2016 title Technomancer.
