The Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered standalone release date has been kept under wraps by Ubisoft so far. However, a new listing, and subsequent confirmation of the date therein, has seemingly revealed the date for the re-release. Assassin’s Creed 3 and Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation are also included in the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey season pass.
A new listing on French retailer Micromania’s site has the standalone remasters listed for March 29, 2019 (via Twisted Voxel). Both the Xbox One and PS4 versions are listed for that date. Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered standalone comes with Liberation remaster, and is listed for €39.99 (roughly $45). It will likely retail for $39.99 in the United States, the same price as the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey season pass.
When contacted on Twitter, Micromania said this was the date it was told and that it was for a physical release.
The Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered release was announced back in September alongside contents of the Odyssey season pass. AC3 will be accompanied by Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation, which began its life as a PS Vita exclusive. The remasters were announced for March 2019, and a standalone release should be coming as well.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launched in October 2018. Its season pass began rolling out content in December with the first chapter of the Legacy of the First Blade expansion. Ubisoft said new chapters of the expansion would launch roughly every six weeks, and right on time, the second chapter of Legacy of the First Blade dropped earlier this week. The third chapter of Legacy of the Hidden Blade should be out in late February. A second expansion, The Fate of Atlantis, is expected sometime later this year.
Ubisoft itself has yet to official confirm the Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered standalone release date, and the remaster FAQ page does not include a specific release date at this time. However, the given date fits well in the content timeline of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, as it should drop a month after Legacy of the First Blade wraps up
