Move over, For Honor, you’re not the only game having a free trial. Call of Duty WWII, XCOM 2, and Just Cause 3 are all having free weekends on various platforms.
Just Cause 3 and XCOM are free this weekend as a part of Xbox Live Gold’s Free Play Days. Starting now and ending on May 6th at 11:59 PM PST, Xbox One owners can download both titles and play for no cost. If Just Cause 3‘s free trial wins you over, you can purchase the base game for only $6 and its XL Edition for $9. XCOM 2 is also on sale for $19.80 for a limited time if you want more after this weekend.
This is a part of the Free Play Days promotion which allows Xbox Live Gold members to play a selected game for free for a limited amount of time. Past promotional weekends have let players play titles like PUBG, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, and WWE 2K18.
XCOM 2 is also having a free trial on PC and doesn’t require any sort of subscription. It is also on sale for $19.79 on Steam. However, the trial ends at 1 PM PST on May 6th.
Call of Duty WWII is also having a free multiplayer weekend on PC from now until 1 PM PST on May 6th. While the derivative campaign and fun co-op isn’t part of the trial, the whole competitive multiplayer suite is. Sorry, zombies. The game is also on sale for $39 if you decide to go for the full game.
PlayStation 4 owners, sadly, do not get any extra free trials outside of For Honor. However, PlayStation Plus subscribers did get Just Cause 3 as part of their free game lineup last August. Publishers must think that people are still playing the phenonemal God of War game that came out a few weeks ago. And they are probably right.
