Sequel to F.E.A.R. Preview

Your shooting brought you to F.E.A.R. sort of.

[image1]You are easily scared. And not just of the old stand-bys: clowns and air travel. Nope, you’re scared of just about everything. Closets, the dark, women, tiny woodland creatures. . . all of these send you into fits of anxiety totally out of proportion to the danger.

So what if smashing all of your mom’s Hummel figurines cost her a fortune? At least they won’t come a hummin’ for you in the middle of the night, their cute porcelain faces twisted into sneers of homicidal kitchiness.

That’s why you should get Monolith’s still-untitled sequel to F.E.A.R. At least in this horrific and bloody sequel to last year’s supernatural shooter, you have plenty reason to get scared. In the preview, we were tortured with some grotesque images of a surgery gone very, very wrong. The suggestion is that you play as some kind of special outpatient, one that is being hunted by both murderous monsters and the authorities alike.

But whatever makes you special also makes you lethal, and you can expect the same bevy of powerful weapons and slow-motion options as you had in the first game. The environment is even more destructible than before, so if you come across any Hummel figurines, odds are you will be able to blow them up.

And there should be a lot of your favorite fear of all: little girls with uncombed hair. Shudder.
