While the month starts with Call of Duty's future-facing new technology-influenced field of combat, it progresses into a variety of genres with Rocksmith 2014 pushing guitar lessons throughout the holiday season and a collection of Master Chief's notable exploits in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Gamers with an affinity for Japanese genres and brands will want to check out the duo of Sonic Boom games arriving on Nintendo platforms while Ubisoft's open-world mountain adventure in Far Cry 4 will go up against Rockstar Games and Grand Theft Auto V's new-generation console port. The month closes with a lot of big names for Nintendo platforms, including Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth for Nintendo 3DS.
