GR Live! Is The Outer Worlds on Nintendo Switch really that bad?

GR Live! is Game Revolution’s live show broadcasting the latest video games. GR Live! host Mack Ashworth guides you through new releases every week, showcasing which games you should play… and which games you should avoid.

The Outer Worlds is now on Nintendo Switch and it’s… er… well, it’s not as good as The Outer Worlds on other platforms!

Look, everyone knew there would be a downgrade in quality from the PC/PS4/Xbox One to the Switch, but we’ve played The Witcher 3 on Nintendo’s handheld so we know what it’s capable of. As such, there’s some disappointment surrounding this latest port.

What is The Outer Worlds?

Below is an official description of The Outer Worlds from its site. The game released on Nintendo Switch on June 4, 2020.

“Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later than you expected only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony.

As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter a host of factions all vying for power, who you decide to become will determine the fate of everyone in Halcyon. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.”
