Here Are 10 Characters That the Jump Force Roster Needs

Crossover fighting games are all about celebrating nostalgia, and giving into fan service. The Jump video game series has always done that well since they have allowed some of the most iconic manga and anime characters to appear alongside each other to deliver dream battles. The next entry is Jump Force and so far 22 characters from eight different series have been confirmed. Currently, there’s a great mixture of stars from past and present series. Fan favorite characters such as Sasuke Uchiha, Roronoa Zoro, and Yusuke Urameshi have all been confirmed to appear. That’s a great start, but there are plenty of other characters that deserve to be in the Jump Force roster.

Jump Force Roster Wishlist – Master Roshi

Jump Force Roster

While the main cast of Dragon Ball Z gets plenty of love, a lot of the characters seen in the original Dragon Ball manga are relegated to being forced into the background. Master Roshi’s training is the reason why Goku has been able to tap into his full potential over the year, but he rarely gets to show his own combat skills anymore. He’d make a fun addition to Jump Force and they could leverage his perverted ways into some pretty hilarious taunts and attacks.

Jump Force Roster Wishlist – Yoh Asakura

Jump Force Roster

Yoh’s powers as a shaman would make for a very interesting fighting game character. His 600-year-old ghost, Amidamaru, is a powerful samurai who was able to kill hundreds of others before succumbing to his wounds. The duo would be a perfect inclusion as Shaman King doesn’t get a ton of representation in video games despite its success and popularity.

Jump Force Roster Wishlist – Arale Norimaki

Considering Arale was a playable character in J-Stars Victory Vs, there’s a solid chance that the Dr. Slump protagonist makes it into Jump Force. Despite her small stature, she’s actually a powerful robot that has superhuman strength. She’s easily one of Akira Toriyama’s best inclusions, and it’d be a shame for her to not make the cut.

Jump Force Roster Wishlist – Kakashi Hatake

Jump Force Roster

Naruto has so many characters that it’s hard to determine who makes the cut or not, but few are cooler than Kakashi. The Team 7 teacher guided Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura through their childhood, so it’s only fitting that he would accompany them into a crossover battle. Plus, there’s just something undeniably cool about having most of your face covered like that.

Jump Force Roster Wishlist – Kurama Youko

Jump Force Roster

Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the greatest action series ever created, so it’s great to see several characters from it already confirmed for Jump Force. If one more gets added, it should be the fox demon Kurama. He has one of the most interesting character arcs throughout the series, and his demonic powers would make him a great combatant.

Jump Force Roster Wishlist – Kid Muscle

Jump Force Roster

Ultimate Muscle is one of the most hysterical manga series, and there’s an undeniable charm about the professional wrestling drama. Kid Muscle would make a great representative from the series as he’s the protagonist, although there are so many fantastic characters that would also fit in. His grappling style would be a solid departure from the other confirmed fighters.

Jump Force Roster Wishlist – Jotaro Kujo

shonen jump roster

Strangely, Jotaro Kujo hasn’t been in any of the recent Jump crossover games despite being one of the key faces of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. It’s time for that to change, as the fan favorite is a natural for any brawler. Plus, there is simply nothing cooler than his hat that seamlessly blends into his hair.

Jump Force Roster Wishlist – Izuku Midoriya

My Hero One's Justice Release Date

My Hero Academia has quickly become one of the most popular anime series as of late, so it makes sense for it to see some recognition. It has been a Weekly Shōnen Jump mainstay since 2014, and if only one character can fit into the roster at this time, then series protagonist Izuku Midoriya would be the logical choice. Not only is his “Quirk” ability very unique, but he has more depth than a character like All Might.

Jump Force Roster Wishlist – Byakuya Kuchiki

Bleach has ended its run after 15 years, but the series still has a large fanbase to cater to. Byakuya is one of the coolest and most popular characters, and it’s easy to see why. The head of the Kuchiki clan is always calm and collected in battle, and knows how to handle powerful characters with ease. His most impressive skill is his speed, as he can use art of shunpo.

Jump Force Roster Wishlist – Nami

jump force roster

More female representation is always a good thing, and One Piece has one of the most varied casts of any manga. The excellent navigator and thief Nami would make a great addition to Jump Force‘s lineup. Her separable bo-staff, Clima-Tact, is one of the most interesting weapons in the entire series. It would open up some fun gameplay possibilities due to its ability to perform various parlor tricks in addition to being used as a standard weapon.

There are many characters that deserve a spot on the Jump Force roster. But there is only a limited amount of space so only a select few can make the cut. Some of our picks might not make the list, but with all the people to choose from, Jump Force is likely to have a great lineup no matter who gets picked.
