There are few things better than those weeks leading up to a game you can’t wait to play. You spend every waking moment soaking up as many articles, videos, and podcasts as you can in anticipation of its release, counting down the days until it finally launches. Then you get to actually play the game, and wow, that’s a whole other thing, right?
GR Marathons, a brand new project from GameRevolution, will see us bottling that excitement in a plethora of coverage, including everything you need to know about the biggest games both pre- and post-release. This will include livestreams, features, interviews, reviews, previews, podcasts, and more, all under the GR Marathons banner. If you want a robust offering of information spread across video, audio, and editorial, then GameRevolution is going to be your one-stop shop for all the coverage you need.
The Amazing Spider-Manathon is the very first GR Marathon, focusing on Insomniac Games’ PS4 exclusive Spider-Man. It will include retro livestreams of old Spider-Man games with host Mack Ashworth, starting today with 2007’s unwittingly hilarious Spider-Man 3 at 11 am EDT, alongside a full Twitch playthrough of the new Spider-Man with Jason Faulkner, which will start tomorrow at 4 pm EDT. We’ll also be staging giveaways of the PS4 exclusive live on-stream, so you won’t want to miss out!
On top of that, we’ll also be providing extensive coverage of Spider-Man on GameRevolution, running through all of the biggest news items surrounding the game, original features, community posts in which we collaborate with our wonderful GR readers, and more. Each GR Marathon will offer something a little different, and below is a little taste of what to expect in the coming months:
- Red Dead Revolution: GR becomes your hub for everything and anything related to Red Dead Redemption 2, including a revisitation of previous Red Dead games, an extensive playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2, giveaways, and all the details you’ll need from Rockstar’s gun-slinging Western.
- GameScarevolution: GR celebrates the spookiest month by spending Halloween livestreaming the scariest games, including Silent Hill 2 and a particularly infamous Hideo Kojima game…
- GameRadiation: Fallout 76 brings multiplayer to the apocalypse, and the GR editorial team celebrates by venturing into the wasteland together. We’ll also have bundles of coverage surrounding the unique co-op survival game.
