May 2017 Release Calendar: Buy, Try, Die

As April concludes we head into the dark months of the year, months where game releases are scarce and backlogs become instrumental to our very survival.

A few ports will be hitting the Nintendo Switch this, adding attractive options like Minecraft and Ultra Street Fighter II to the library. This comes on the heels of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's release, which currently stands as one of the top three highest rated gams of the year.

Prey and Injustice 2 are the highest profile titles of the month, both arriving on several platforms. We have a good feeling about Prey, although we won't be able to share our final thoughts with you until after launch due to Bethesda's review policy.

We've bolded the biggest games of the month with links to our coverage.

Check out this month's games and let us know which games you plan to buy, what you might try, and what should die.
