Two years ago, Xbox One boldly stepped into the gaming arena. I was a bit frustrated, wondering what would happen to my Xbox 360, but the first time I got the chance to test it out, I was won over immediately. The potential for quality gaming was huge, and over these past two years, well exploited.
Its future may change, as the head of Microsoft’s gaming division confirmed plans for Xbox were for it to become a new kind of PC/console hybrid. But today Xbox One is, in my view, the best gaming console and it earned this title with the following list of the best Xbox One games.
The first game developed especially for Xbox One and the fifth in the series, Halo 5: Guardians is the reason most of us moved to this console. Though it has a ‘not so great’ single-player campaign, and it’s easy to finish it with our Halo 5 cheats page, the addictive multiplayer action is what kept the spirit of the original Halo and enhanced it overall. Master Chief made a dramatic return, this time, supported by a Fireteam of Spartans.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Since Hideo Kojima left Konami, this very well may be the last Metal Gear Solid game. The storyline takes off after the end of Ground Zeroes, but it also requires the knowledge of previous games in the series or at least some knowledge of the previous plots and characters. All the gameplay changes from Ground Zeroes are there, and they go along perfectly with the highly-explorable open world in which the game is set.
This time, you have a limited number of primary and secondary weapons, both visible on Snake’s body as you move around the game world. And finally, you don't get full single-player co-op, but rather a buddy system where you get to choose a companion to accompany you on your mission. With more than enough for hours of gameplay, let’s not forget the mind-blowing graphics as well.

To be honest, I'm no RPG fan, but I ended up playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt by chance (it was a gift). Needless to say, I was hooked immediately to one of the most impressive worlds ever made, full of plausible political intrigue, dream world folklore, complex characters, multiple storylines, endless possibilities in character development, and side quests just as tough to finish as the main story.
Once again, you are Geralt of Rivera on his quest for his lost love and his adopted daughter in the world of The Continent. Even though the story seems simple at first, as you progress, the sheer size of the game will blow you away. Easily one of the most enjoyable and toughest games I ever played. No list of the best Xbox One games so far would be complete without Minecraft. The brick-building, worldwide phenomenon, in its Xbox One Edition, features larger worlds, expanded multiplayer features, and enhancements powered by and made just for Microsoft's console. A sandbox world with lots of possibilities is only getting better with the Minecraft: Story Mode release.

Destiny is an out-of-this-world online first-person shooter multiplayer game like no other. Beautifully done with smooth gameplay (ala Halo, because Bungie is at the helm) the game will take you to far-out galaxy places you can only dream of visiting. It starts off like every other MMO. You create a character, and slowly upgrade his abilities and expertise with weapons, making him the galaxy’s ultimate savior. And this should be enough as an invitation to play.
But then comes Destiny: The Taken King expansion; the game kicks off to another level, becoming an insanely addictive MMO space shooter with so much content in the game you'll easily forget what the main objective was.

These five here made the list because they are, in some way, groundbreaking games that set the quality bar in their respective categories.
