Best of 2015 Awards: Best Racing Game

Winner: Forza Motorsport 6

Forza fully took advantage of the new generation of hardware this year when delivering Forza Motorsport 6. As a result, it was a beautiful racing game, and one that built upon the core strengths of the franchise. It had a wealth of cars, game modes, tuning options, and difficulty settings. While that may have been expected by many players, its improved handling model and genre-leading rain effects came as a welcomed surprise. Furthermore, it delivered a massive package that was the simple biggest leap in delivery for the genre since Gran Turismo 3, and that's all a car enthusiast could ever hope for.

Star Citizen

Star Citizen is an upcoming space trading and combat simulator video game for Microsoft Windows. Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first person space combat and trading in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers (known as Star Citizen), and a branching single-player game (known as Squadron 42). The game will also feature VR support.
