Winner: Life Is Strange

In the same way that Telltale Games pushed storytelling in 2012 with The Walking Dead, Dontnod Entertainment showed how the player's presence could be utilized further with Life is Strange. What began as an ordinary graphic adventure became one of the most nail-biting experiences in gaming history, rich with powerful moments punctuated by outstanding character development that resonated strongly. It came as a welcomed surprise by many players and was immediately met with praise. There is certain to be more in the future for Life is Strange, and that's a great thing for the gaming industry.

Star Citizen
Star Citizen is an upcoming space trading and combat simulator video game for Microsoft Windows. Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first person space combat and trading in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers (known as Star Citizen), and a branching single-player game (known as Squadron 42). The game will also feature VR support.
