Amid much fanfare (and a tiny bit of a downgradation kerfuffle), this week saw the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and one thing that can be said across the board is that damn, that is one magnificent beard Geralt has going on there. And it grows as the game progresses, so the more hours put in to the game, the more whisker action he sees.
It's a cool slick detail, but Geralt isn't the first gaming protagonist to forego the razor and allow the billow beard to bristle forth. Beards have often cropped up on other characters, denoting wisdom, torment, or sleaze, and today they get their props in our list of Top 10 Beards in Gaming.
