Phantasy Star Online – Old Games With Grandpa Heath

What was your first online gameplay experience? Mine was this baby right here, Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast, later appearing on PC, GameCube, and Xbox. We're talking dial-up internet, trying to type messages with a controller, and trying to get creepers to stop asking weird questions. Good times!

Phantasy Star continues its online ways to this day both officially and unofficially, with private servers still running the original games and a new series entry in Japan just at the end of 2014, Phantasy Star Nova for the Vita. That system, along with smartphones and PC, previously got Phantasy Star Online 2, which I've so far been too terrified to try out.
