New Chicken Hat Mode Announced for Metal Gear Solid V’s Desert Climate

In a desert climate, like the one that plays host to Hideo Kojima's next adventure for Snake and the Metal Gear Solid franchise, it's important to prepare for changing and challenging weather conditions. For one, you'll need to cover those ears once it gets cold at night.

Thankfully, the developer took to a three-hour livestream (above) to reveal that players struggling with a particularly tough sequence can retreat those noggins to a suave and totally debonair chicken hat. The chicken hat itself makes Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain slightly easier to play, though fans were none to pleased with the lengthy wait and lackadaisical reveal.

One fan on Youtube summarized the situation with the following:

U WANT TPP RELEASE DATE?

TOO BAD HERE CHICKEN HAT FUCK YOU

And it didn't even take three hours to read that comment! For more information on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, click the game title either above or below to visit our game page, complete with video, screenshots, and other news.
