Nintendo Gets Biggest Pokémon Launch in UK With Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Pokémon has typically found success by appealing to gamers around the world with regard to its community-driving competition and collecting, though the latest games Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have beaten franchise records by selling even more than last year's Pokémon X & Y.

More specifically, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have outdone past entries in the franchise in the United Kingdom by a 17% margin, beating the sales record previously held by Pokémon Black and Pokémon White on Nintendo DS.

This counts the combined sales of both Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Chart Track, a sales tracker in the United Kingdom, says that the latest Call of Duty landed at the top of the sales charts followed closely by the newest iteration in the FIFA franchise.
