New Helldivers 2 Update Increases Level Cap to 150

Helldivers 2 is the recent smash hit on PC and PS5, bringing in thousands of players with its co-op third-person shooter goodness. Developer Arrowhead Game Studios is continuing to make improvements to the game, and the latest update has just been sent out.

Balance adjustments and more

Patch 01.000.200 should be rolling out as we speak, and brings with it some notable changes to Helldivers 2. As outlined in a recent post on Steam, the game has had some balance changes, specifically related to missions, weapons, enemies, and more.

There have also been some Planetary Hazard additions, such as blizzards and sandstorms, as well as general fixes and stability improvements. Other issues are continuing to be worked on, the studio says.

One of the biggest changes is the increase in the level cap. Until now, it was maxed out at 50, but Arrowhead has now bumped this up to 150, which is quite a jump.

The post has the following to say about the new patch:

Today we have a slightly bigger update for you all to assist in the liberation efforts of our galaxy as well as some new environmental threats to watch out for.

Released at the start of February, Helldivers 2 has been enjoying tremendous success. Currently, the game is maintaining a high position on Steam’s Top Sellers list, moving up one place since last week.

At the time of writing, it’s at number three, just behind Counter-Strike 2 and the Steam Deck. However, it’s beating out such popular titles as Cyberpunk 2077 and the recent (though somewhat controversial) Dragon’s Dogma 2.
