Humble Indie Bundle Reaches Over $2M in the Last Day

The "pay what you want" Humble Indie Bundle #3 has stunningly crossed the $2 million mark with, at the time of this writing, over 352,000 bundles sold and only 11 hours left on the clock.

The five indie games in the bundle – Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, VVVVVV, Hammerfight, and And Yet It Moves – along with optional donations to the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and Child's Play Charity, have convinced its customers to purchase the bundle for an average price of $5.81. Plenty of people likely purchased the bundle for merely a $0.01, but enough people like @MtGox and @notch, who both have contributed over $4,000 each, to balance all of those penny-pitchers out.

The second convincing reason, of course, is the "Bundle in a Bundle" deal, where customers will also receive all the games in the Humble Indie Bundle #2 (on top of two free games, Steel Storm and Atom Zombie Smasher) if they purchase Bundle #3 for more than the current average price of $5.81. Also, anyone who buys the bundle can try out Minecraft for free until August 14th. (Whew!)
