Destiny Demo Available on All Platforms

Releasing a demo after launch may look like an unfortunate move made to counteract poor sales, but you couldn't say that with Destiny's explosive launch on Xbox and PlayStation platforms. Still, Activision has offered a free experience for consumers who want to try the game before they buy it.

The Destiny demo allows gamers on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 to play and then transfer characters and progress over to the full game later. A dedicated demo requires 6GB of hard drive space while the dedicated Game Trial requires 20GB.

You'll have to accept terms of service in order to transfer your progress to the full game via Activision's Destiny servers, but the demo experience itself will walk you through that. Don't forget to read our full Destiny review here.
