PlayStation Vue Announced, Brings Cloud-Based TV to PS4 and PS3

Sony has announced PlayStation Vue, a cloud-based television streaming service that will be making its way to both PlayStation 3 and PS4 very soon.

The subscription service, while initially limited to the two aforementioned consoles, is also planned for release on tablets and other smart devices. It'll provide users with a slew of on-demand content without the need of a cable or satellite membership.

So far Sony has confirmed that content from networks including CBS, Discovery Communications, Fox, NBCUniversal, and Viacom will all be supported.

There's no word on how much a PlayStation Vue membership will cost, but we do know it will be a month-to-month service with no annual contract. A beta will be rolling out for console owners later this month, so stay tuned to GameRevolution for additional details on the service in the weeks ahead.
