Blizzard Announces New IP, Hearthstone Expansion, and More at BlizzCon 2014

The fine folks over at Blizzard delivered quite a number of major announcements today at BlizzCon 2014, chief among which being a brand-new IP called Overwatch.

The game is a team-based shooter that pits one team of six against another team of the same size. Additionally, Overwatch sports a gorgeous art style that is undeniably reminiscent of a Pixar film. Check out the stunning trailer below and feel free to gawk at its charming aesthetic.

A beta is coming next year. You can sign up for it here.

But that's not all the company had to announce during the convention, as a new expansion for Hearthstone was unveiled as well. It's called Goblins Vs. Gnomes and serves up a whole bunch of new cards that add an explosive element to the popular free-to-play game.

StarCraft fans got some much needed attention as well, as Blizzard revealed that StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void will be a standalone game that introduces a new mode combining cooperative and PVP elements. For additional details, check out the trailer below.
