It has been a while since rumors have popped up regarding Bethesda's expected next entry in the Fallout franchise. Fortunately, the radio silence has been broken, thanks to a trademark that was spotted by NeoGAF user Labadal.
The trademark application, which appears to have been filed by Bethesda Softworks LLC in Rockville, is for something called Fallout: Shadow of Boston. It's categorized under "Computer game discs; Downloadable computer game programs; Computer games programmes downloaded via the internet," and, interestingly enough, "Auditioning for tv game shows." Not sure about that last one….
Prior reports have suggested that the next Fallout game will be set in Boston, so it's quite possible that Shadow of Boston is the subtitle of the first proper next-gen entry in the series. With year-end events like VGX looming on the horizon, there's reason to hope we'll be hearing more about this alleged game sooner rather than later.
