Activision Confident Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Will Outsell Ghosts

Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg believes that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will perform even better than last year's entry, Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Sure, pre-order numbers may not be quite as high this time around, but that apparently doesn't have the Activision exec all too concerned.

"We see purchase intent well above last year and we see engagement with the brand in social media channels all being markedly up, so I'm still optimistic," Hirshberg said in an interview with GamesIndustry. "Preorders are a good barometer for day one, but I don't think they reflect the overall demand for the product."

What do you think? Will Advanced Warfare prove to be more profitable for Activision than Ghosts despite lower pre-order numbers? It sure is getting a lot more praise from critics than last year's installment.
