2.4 Million Xbox Consoles Were Sold in Q1 2015

2.4 million Xbox consoles were sold during the first quarter of the 2015 fiscal year, Microsoft announced. It's important to note that this number includes sales for both Xbox One and Xbox 360, not just the Big M's latest piece of gaming hardware.

That said, the Q1 sales numbers make for a 102 percent overall increase in console sales, thanks in large part to the release of Xbox One in several new markets. Sure, it may not be selling like hotcakes in Japan, but it's done quite well in China so far.

With the impending release of exclusives like Sunset Overdrive and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Xbox One hardware sales are bound to see an even greater spike over the next couple months.
