Xbox One Outsells PS4 in September, Estimates Pachter

Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter believes that Xbox One managed to outsell PlayStation 4 last month in the United States.

Mr. Pachter revealed the estimate/prediction in a note to investors, saying, "We expect Xbox One sales to exceed those of the PS4 for only the second month since launch." Numbers-wise, the analyst ballparks Xbox One sales at 325,000 units versus 250,000 PS4s.

Why does Pachter believe Microsoft managed to eclipse Sony during the month of September? He specifically mentions free game pack-ins like Madden NFL 15 and the ability to get both Destiny and an Xbox One console for $400, while the PS4 Destiny bundle bears a $450 price tag.

Do you think Xbox One sales outpaced that of PlayStation 4 last month? Is Pachter completely off base and drinking Microsoft's green-colored Kool-Aid? Weigh in with your thoughts in the comments below.
