Steam is well known for putting on a number of events and sales periodically throughout the year, and it was recently announced that the platform’s Stealth Fest will be commencing next week. Celebrating all things related to the stealth genre, the event will kick off on Monday, 24 July.
Get some sneaky discounts and demos
A video posted to the Steam YouTube channel says there will be a week of celebrations, boasting a number of games going on sale, as well as demos being made available for upcoming titles.
As shown in the teaser, there’ll be some horror games, such as Outlast, and Alien: Isolation, that’ll be joining Stealth Fest, as well as non-horror releases like Stray and Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.
If you’re a fan of the indie scene, it looks like the Thief and retro FPS-inspired Gloomworld will be part of the festivities, as will Hello Neighbor 2.
The brief video doesn’t give away too much, so it’s impossible to say what type of discounts are going to be on offer or whether any other games will be part of the event.
Suffice it to say, if you use Steam and you like all things stealthy, this could be right up your street. Stealth Fest will be going on until July 31, so you’ll have plenty of time to grab some bargains and/or some demos of upcoming releases.
Still considered by many to be the head honcho of the PC gaming market, Valve‘s Steam client helped kick-start the digital gaming revolution. Initially released in 2003, the service is fast-approaching its 20th anniversary, so it’ll be interesting to see what’ll be in-store for that milestone.
