After revealing the first wave a few weeks ago, Xbox has now unveiled what the second wave of Xbox Game Pass games for July 2023. These new arrivals include new games like Venba and classics like Celeste.
Here’s the second wave of Xbox Game Pass games for July 2023
As listed on the Xbox Wire, seven titles are being spread across the next few weeks. Many of these are acclaimed indie games like the hardcore platformer Celeste and two other titles that were previously on PC and PlayStation. Maquette is one of those titles and is a narrative-based puzzle game that plays with perspective and stars Bryce Dallas Howard, who is know for her roles in Spider-Man 3 and the Jurassic World movies. Toem also debuted on PlayStation and PC and is an easygoing black and white adventure that is based around players taking pictures.
Venba is the only true day-one Game Pass game, and it is a cooking puzzle game about a Indian family who immigrates to Canada during the 1980s.

- Toem (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 18
- The Cave (Cloud and Console) – July 18
- Maquette (Console and PC) – July 19
- Figment 2: Creed Valley (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 20
- The Wandering Village (Cloud, Console, and PC) – July 20
- Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – July 25
- Venba (Console and PC) – July 31
- Celeste (Cloud, Console, and PC) – August 1
Of course, Game Pass is about more than just games, as there are often DLC rewards, too. Naraka: Bladepoint users with Game Pass will get an upgrade to the Deluxe Edition that has in-game rewards. League of Legends players can instantly unlock Naafiri, a new hero, on July 20. Pirates still plundering Sea of Thieves will get access to the Monkey Island crossover, which is dropping in three parts starting July 20. And while not free, the Nicolas Cage DLC for Dead by Daylight will be 10% off on July 25.
Those will Game Pass Ultimate will also get a few more added perks. Subscribers will get 75 days of Crunchyroll Premium on July 20. FIFA 23 players are entitled to a Ultimate Team pack on July 21. And Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can get access to Naruto Shippuden Uncut Season 1 right now.
There are also five games exiting Game Pass on July 31, one of which is Marvel’s Avengers, something that recently left PlayStation Plus Extra, as well. These games include:
