Steam Summer Sale 2023.

Steam Deck Up To 20% Off in the Steam Summer Sale

It’s that time of year again. Yep, the Steam Summer Sale is well underway, and there are more than enough games that are being discounted for the next couple of weeks. One thing that may be of interest to many of you is Valve’s Steam Deck device, which is also included in the sale.

Now’s a good time to get a Deck

If you head on over to Steam itself, you’ll see the mid-year sale has begun, going through until July 13. Right now, if you want to pick up a Deck, you can get up to 20% off the usual price, depending on which model you go for.

The cheaper model (i.e. the 64GB version) is currently 10% off, while the mid-range one is 15% off, and the 512GB Deck is now 20% off. The latter is therefore selling for $575, or £455.29 for our UK readers.

The Steam Summer Sale is an exciting time for PC gamers. So many releases get reduced for ridiculous prices. For example, Metro Exodus is currently 80% off, Hogwarts Legacy is 20% off, and the remake of Dead Space has been slashed by 30%.

Of course, it makes sense that Valve would want its Steam Deck to be part of the festivities. Released in February 2022, it represented the Half-Life developer’s next attempt to break into the hardware market.

While previous attempts, such as the Steam Controller and Steam Link, were less successful, the Deck has proven that Gabe Newell and his team are capable of making an impact in something other than software.

Steam is the biggest one-stop place for PC gaming these days, and the regular sale events are an excuse for many to empty their wallets on a slew of titles that go for cheap.
