The Super Mario Advance Nintendo Switch Online release date
Super Mario Advance, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, and Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3 all come to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on May 26. The games will join Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 on the service. Each game also comes with an updated version of the original arcade classic, Mario Bros.
Super Mario Advance adds new surprises, challenges, and flourishes to Super Mario Bros ™ 2. Players take on the roles on Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad, each armed with unique abilities to give them personal advantages. While Mario is an all-rounder, and Luigi can jump the highest. Peach hovers over obstacles, while Toad is the fastest of the crew.
Super Mario Advance 2 is the GBA version of Super Mario World. It also boasts additional features, such as the ability to play as Luigi. The plumbing brothers team up to stop Bowser from taking over Dinosaur Island. Fortunately, they have a comrade in the plucky Yoshi.
Finally, Super Mario Advance 3 adds Yoshi’s Island to the collection. Players can witness the cuddly chaos of multiple Yoshis, as they all attempt to rescue the infant Marios from Magi-Koopa.
The trio of games joins the Game Boy Advance Collection alongside Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Minigame Mania, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Kuru Kuru Kururin, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, and the aforementioned Super Mario Advance 4. Four more GBA titles have been promised to be added to the Expansion Pack soon – Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, F-Zero Maximum Velocity, Golden Sun, and Fire Emblem – although we don’t know when that will be quite yet. Stay tuned!
