EA Apologizes for Poor Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Performance on PC

Electronic Arts is aware of the poor Star Wars Jedi: Survivor performance, particularly for PC, and has issued an apology to fans who are suffering from a low framerate or who are unable to play the game. Earlier today, Steam players lambasted the game, with less than 40% of user reviews not recommending it at the time of this writing. In its statement, EA says that the the game “isn’t performing to our standards,” but many players are still unhappy with the apology.

EA will fix game performance with figure patches and updates

Through a tweet on the official EA Star Wars account, the publisher is aware that Jedi Survivor isn’t working well on “high-end machines or certain specific configurations.” It specifically mentions chipsets not functioning as well on different Windows platforms and players having a low framerate due to having “lower-performing CPUs” despite having high-end GPUs.

To amend this, Electronic Arts promises updates and fixes to improve performance across all PC configurations, though the patches will require a lot of testing. This means that it might take a while before some PC players will be able to have a smooth experience with the game.

However, some users reacting to the apology don’t believe that it’s enough. One user’s response with a high number of likes questions why the game was released on PC in the first place if EA believed it wasn’t “performing to [its] standards.” Another believes that the statement partially puts the blame on players not having the same exact rigs that EA used for its PC testing.
