Pokemon Sleep Release Date Window and Gameplay Revealed

Pokemon Sleep, announced as part of February’s Pokemon Presents, is a brand-new mobile game coming later this year. The trailer showed us key gameplay elements, as well as a release date window.

When is the Pokemon Sleep release date?

Pokémon Sleep has a release date of Summer 2023 and will come to Android and iOS devices. According to the trailer, the app will “turn sleeping into entertainment” by measuring your sleep to catch Pokémon Sleep

The Pokemon Sleep app will automatically measure and analyze your sleep patterns. It will then categorize your sleep style into one of three categories. (Dozing, Snoozing, and Slumbering). Each category is associated with certain Pokémon.

The Pokemon associated with your sleep category will gather around a Snorlax that is a permanent feature of the game. As you see more and more kinds of Pokemon, you’ll discover their unique sleep styles.

Alongside Pokemon Sleep, a new piece of hardware was announced, the Pokémon Go Plus Plus. This Pokéball shaped accessory can be used in Pokémon Sleep, where it can be used to mark when you go to sleep and wake up, as well as play alarms and bedtime lullabies. This will measure your sleep and send the information to your phone via Bluetooth.

New Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC ‘The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero’ was also revealed, but the rumored Red and Blue Switch releases were sadly absent from the show.
