New Mega Evolution Unveiled for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

The third legendary Pokémon iconic to the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald generation of Nintendo's popular creature-collecting series is getting a Mega Evolution of its own for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

Say hello to Mega Rayquaza.

Apparently Mega Rayquaza is a bit different from the game's other Mega-Evolved monsters. According to the Pokémon Company:

The Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza is said to achieve Mega Evolution in a remarkable way—unlike that of other Pokémon—due to its unique biology. What is this unique method? And what is the mystery of Mega Evolution? All will become clear in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire!

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire launch on November 21, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS.
