Fortnite Vaults Have Returned for Chapter 4 Season 2 Most Wanted Event

Fortnite Vaults, last seen in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, have returned for Chapter 4 Season 2’s Most Wanted Event. They have dropped as part of the 23.40 update, which also includes a lot of new content.

Fortnite’s Most Wanted Vaults contain new loot in 23.40 update

Although Vaults in Fortnite have been present across multiple seasons, this incarnation is most reminiscent of the vaults from Chapter 2, Season 2. This is because you’ll need Vault Keycards to open the Most Wanted vaults, which were first seen in the Agency season.

The new vaults in question have been data mined by @iFireMonkey alongside lots of other content released in the 23.40 update, who has released this video exploring one of the new Most Wanted vaults.

As you can see in the video, the vaults contain rare chests and other interactable items. You’ll need to find a Vault Keycard first to open the vault. The Most Wanted event also includes a “Heat” mechanic, GTA style. Raising your heat will earn you more bars for kills and let you regenerate health when safe and move faster.

The Most Wanted update is playable now, but an additional Most Wanted leaderboards challenge will launch on February 16. To rise up the leaderboards, you’ll need to open as many of the new Vaults as possible.
