Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Hits Retailers Next Month

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, Mojang's world-building phenomenon for Microsoft's new-gen platform, is getting a retail release next month on November 18, and, according to Xbox Wire, it'll bear a $19.99 price tag.

The game is already available as a digital download for Xbox One, and those who own the digital version on Xbox 360 can get the next-gen upgrade for $4.99. However, it's important to note that this offer doesn't apply to the XB1 retail version.

Not too long ago, Microsoft announced that it was purchasing the Minecraft developer for the sizeable sum of $2.5 billion. PlayStation fans need not worry, though, as the franchise will remain multiplatform… at least for now. In fact, the PS Vita version is undergoing final testing as we speak.
