Sony Announces Closure of PlayStation Home Service

Sony's PlayStation Home service has allowed users to invest time and money into virtual characters that look just as terrible as the day anyone decided to start living in an exclusively virtual environment with no way of exploring the great outdoors, though the company will soon shut down the service.

PlayStation Home will close on November 12th, according to the company's European community blog. That means that users will need to download any further content or else lose what they've spent real money on in-game.

Sony writes that they "would like to thank all of our fans for their support of the PlayStation Home platform over the years."
