Minecraft’s PS4 Version Delayed, Denied Certification

Sony and 4J Studios have unfortunately revealed that the PlayStation 4 release of Minecraft will not be available on time as planned due to errors found during the certification process.

Certification typically checks games for bugs, connection issues, and any other problems that might cause your console hardware to shut down, crash, break, or otherwise stop working. That'd be bad! We don't want you to miss out on any video games.

In a tweet, 4J Studios said that the team is currently working on solutions to the issues that arose during certification, though they'll need to resubmit Minecraft for PlayStation 4 before anyone can actually play it.

Minecraft recently released on PlayStation 3 and sold millions of downloads to compliment the scores of fans already enjoying the game on PC, Xbox 360, and mobile devices like tablets.
