DayZ Headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

DayZ will make the awkward crawl over to a warehouse where it will become a boxed video game made available at retail for consumers all around the world. Then a customer will go in and buy it, not unlike the way those bandits will shoot you in the head and take your weapon.

Creator Dean Hall said that the title will allow the developer to branch out from the PC platform and that the team wants to "remain acutely aware of how important the PC version is" and that they didn't want "to just port" the game to console. Each platform will have the game built toward its own strengths.

We'll have more coverage on gamescom and all the games there in the coming days.
