Game Journalism Simulator in Development

Fellow GameRevolution writers, stand up, and bask in the glory that rightfully belongs to you and I, for someone is finally developing a video game about people who write about video games.

Jason Evangelho, a game journalist, is currently helming the development of Game Journalism Simulator, reaching out to other writers and registering a trademark for the game. The idea launched from a joke at this year's E3, and the idea of Game Journalism Simulator was akin to the cult hit Goat Simulator. Then Evangelho picked up some insight from Dan Amrich's book Critical Path: How to Review Video Games for a Living, which suggested that writers should try their hand at game design to better understand the process and thereby better equipped to judge a game's components.

According to an interview with Polygon, the game “tasks players with navigating the nightmarish and rewarding waters of video game journalism by progressing from a lowly undiscovered blogger to an established full-time game journalist.”

Said Evangelho, “We want it to be a genuinely fun game which both empowers players and make them laugh their asses off.”

Allow me to suggest something from Goat Simulator: licking. Licking as many things as possible.
