Sony Open to Revisiting Crash Bandicoot and Spyro

The old mascot platformers that helped give the original PlayStation its identity, namely Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon, may be revisited by Sony at some point in the future, PlayStation exec Andrew House has revealed.

"In concept, it is something we’ve been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us," House told the Telegraph in a recent interview. "We’ve started to say that maybe there isn’t anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of their childhood or their youth. I definitely wouldn’t close the door on that."

Do you think Crash and Spyro are characters worth returning to? There's still the matter of reacquiring the rights to both franchises from the hands of Activision. I can't imagine that would be a particularly fun or easy process.
