Mass Effect 4 Will Reference Original Trilogy

Details on BioWare's upcoming fourth entry in the Mass Effect series remain few and far between, but at the very least, gamers can rest assured knowing that the next game will contain callbacks to the original trilogy.

"I can't get into that too much," BioWare boss Aaryn Flynn told GameTrailers when asked about how the franchise would continue. "We've got a really cool idea for how we're going to carry on – keep the trilogy separate but at the same time give a bunch of nods to fans who enjoyed the trilogy in the past. That's all going to come out soon."

BioWare Montreal is currently at work on the first next-gen entry in the Mass Effect franchise. Meanwhile, the team in Edmonton is working on a brand-new IP. Hopefully we'll hear more about both in the very near future.
