The Entertainment Software Association, the biggest firm advocating for the video game industry in Washington, has announced five finalists for the E3 College Game Competition, a contest with recognition for the best student talent in game development.
The Savannah College of Art and Design, pictured above, won last year for their game titled Lost in Thought. Eight SCAD students worked on the project, took it to E3, and walked away with the trophy.
Lawrence Technology University, Savannah College of Art and Design, the University of Denver, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Utah have each secured a finalist position.
"Young developers are the lifeblood of our industry," explained Rich Taylor, SVP of Communications at the ESA. "Their creativity, vision, and spirit of innovation are essential to the continued growth and evolution of this dynamic industry."
