Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Reveals New Character

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax features new fighters, new story branches, and even more mystery surrounding the P-1 Climax tournament that draws your favorite Persona 4 and Persona 3 characters into the TV world. Click the images above for full-size.

Fans already know about Junpei Iori and Yukari Takeba who enter the ring from Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3. Rise Kujikawa of Persona 4 will also be a playable fighter this time around, but a brand new Persona user enters the fray with his own mystery.

Sho Minazuki wields katanas and looks to have some devastating attacks in the screenshots sent over by Atlus. Check them out in our gallery above.

The release from Atlus states that more could potentially be in store for Persona fans, including preorder bonuses and more. If you haven't played the original Persona 4 Arena, will you pick up Ultimax when it drops this Fall?

One thing that really impressed me with the original release of the game was how little narrative exposition was lost in the genre change. The visual novel aspects of Persona have really endeared fans to the series, but even if fighting games aren't your genre you can drop the difficulty down and enjoy the characters and world nonetheless.

Look out for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this year.
