Harmonix Launches Kickstarter for Amplitude Reboot

The fine folks over at Harmonix have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for the development of a reboot of its beloved music-based PlayStation 2 classic, Amplitude.

The game is scheduled for release in June of next year for both PlayStation 3 and PS4. The studio is looking to raise $775,000 in order to get the project off the ground. Check out the promotional video for the title below.

"With the advancements in technology and the huge creative leaps forward our studio has taken, we believe we can rebuild Amplitude for current consoles and make it an even more amazing experience than before," the studio explains.

"We're aiming to deliver an updated soundtrack, incredible visuals, and fine-tuned controls. These improvements will be layered on top of the core mechanics and hallmark difficulty that made both FreQuency and Amplitude such amazing experiences when they first debuted."
