WB Games Updates Injustice Mobile With Multiplayer Support

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment sent word today that their Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile app has had over two billion play sessions and that iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch brawlers can now enjoy a brand new competitive mode.

If you've been beating up DC favorites like Green Lantern, Joker, Superman, and more all with swipes and taps of your finger, you can now pit your superheroes and villains against other teams online. From the release:

Battles are waged by engaging other users' online teams, which are represented by an AI driven squad, with every match awarding Multiplayer Points to the victor. Multiplayer battles can be viewed after the fact via Match Replay, letting players identify their strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to strategically customize their team for the next fight. Also new to the game is the ability to upgrade character stats and performance with Gear that is awarded based on one's ranking in the leaderboard system.

This is an incredibly complex system for an iOS game, but more power to WB for giving players what they want, supporting their project in long term, and making Injustice one of the most feature complete games available on mobile.
