The Crew Gets Release Window, Gameplay Trailer [Update: Frame Rate, Resolution Confirmed]

[Update] The Crew will run at 30fps in 1080p for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Ubisoft has confirmed.

The game's creative director, Julian Gerighty, revealed this bit of info to Videogamer, adding that the PC version will be basically the same as well. "[We're] really trying to get parity across all versions, so it's something that's important to us not to branch out and not do individual things for individual platforms."

That said, the PlayStation 4's touchpad does allow for some interesting control. "Reflections is doing the PS4 version and they're doing an incredible job on it," Gerighty explained. "We'll be using the trackpad to manipulate the map and stuff like that, so they’ve really pushed two or three different things there."

[Original] Ubisoft has announced that The Crew, its upcoming next-gen racer set entirely in the United States, will launch on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 this fall.

In addition, the publisher released a gameplay premiere trailer that shows off the game's impressive visuals. Give it a look below.

The Crew features an fully recreated United States for players to explore and race across. It's quite ambitious in its scope, so there's plenty of reason for racing fans to keep this on their radar. Hopefully Ubisoft will have more to share at E3.
