Today will be known as the day Nick Tan celebrated his birth…. again. But it will also be known as the day Burnout Crash! was announced during EA's annual Summer Showcase at their offices in Redwood Shores. Criterion games is reportedly back at the wheel and they've haphazardly thrown the Burnout series into the top-down, downloadable driving game market.
Burnout Crash! will be available on PSN and XBLA this fall, and offers players the chance to cause "traffic chaos by chasing into cars, triggering explosions and destroying everything in sight". The cartoony focus on Burnout's Crash mode will offer 18 different "crash junctions" as well.
Apparently, Burnout Crash! will also support the use of Microsoft's Kinect device so that "two teams use gestural controls to play on one television in a party battle!" I guess Burnout Crash! will also be responsible for—
